The Easter holiday is a great opportunity for families to enjoy some early spring weather and make some timeless memories. There are a number of fun Easter events happening in the Market District neighbourhood this year, check them out for yourself to make this an Easter holiday weekend you’ll remember for years to come.
Easter at The Toronto Zoo
Friday April 14th to Monday April 17th

All of your favourite furry friends have been taking the winter off, but the Toronto Zoo is excited to be reopening several of its pavilions especially for Easter weekend. Connect with wildlife and learn more about global conservation efforts. You can even visit the baby Pandas!
Easter Egg Hunt and Scavenger Hunt
Friday April 14th to Sunday April 16th from 10 am – 3 pm
Pingle’s Farm Market — 1805 Taunton Road East
Your family can enjoy a great day of Easter Fun in a beautiful countryside setting with the annual Easter Egg hunt and Scavenger hunts at Pingle’s Farm Market. The hunt is recommended for children ages 1 to 6, and will begin with kids getting to decorate their own Easter Egg baskets in the greenhouse. Then, they take a tractor wagon ride to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs. Recommended for kids aged 7 to 12, the Scavenger Hunt participants are equipped with maps, and will follow the clues around the farm to compete for a special treat. Admission is $11 per child and $8 per adult (HST included).
Pickering Easter Parade
Saturday, April 15th from 10 am – 12 pm
Annland St. at Liverpool Rd.
Presented by The Royal Canadian Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary this popular annual parade is followed with a complimentary lunch and activities provided at the Royal Canadian Legion.
Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday April 15th at 2 pm
Pickering Central Library — 1 The Esplanade
The Pickering Central Library is excited to host a children’s Easter Egg Hunt on the library grounds. Meet out front of the library at 2 pm to participate!
